Truck Trailer De-Ice
Stationary System

While in a discussion at the Online Think Tank to solve the problem of truck trailer roof ice and how it created a serious road hazard, we came up with what we thought was a new concept and idea. And Tom Dravis and Lance Winslow started considering how to solve this problem. Thus, we put our minds together can came up with the drawings and sketches to eliminate this dangerous condition, and we were quite pleased with our new innovation and design, see the sketch below.

Note: As it turns out William Candeletti
had filed a patent over 10-years ago on a
similar design, actually we believe a
better and simpler design:

the thought process used by Tom Dravis and Lance Winslow,

.

How it Works

The truck and trailer drive under an through this devices which might be connected to the front end of an automated tunnel truck wash or stand alone system. No power is required, as the truck move forward the ice scraper system and brushes remove snow and frozen ice.

This concept was conceived by Tom Dravis and later engineered and sketched by Lance Winslow in collaboration. The Truck Wash Guys believe this is the answer to prevent sheets of ice and snow from blowing off moving trucks and injuring motorists in regions of our nation with inclement weather. This is a relatively simple, robust design, and fairly Murphy Proof. Think on it?

Problem Solved

in real life:

By William Candeletti

William Candeletti has a Patent on this design; patent #5,989,356.
(filed on February 9, 1998)
which far pre-dates our design and concept.

William Candeletti has spent over 10-years in development, design,
perfecting his prototypes. Today this unit is now available to protect
dangerous ice conditions on the roof of truck trailers from causing
accidents and fatalities. His innovation is called The Durasweeper.
We believe this is the answer to the problem. Learn More at:

The DuraSweeper SR100 design is much simpler than the concept we had come up with
and much more Murphy Proof. Thus, our T-5 (Truck Technology Think Tank Team) hereby endorses this design of William Candeletti as the best choice for the trucking
industry moving forward. It is innovators, inventors, and entrepreneurs like
William Candeletti that continue to propel our great nation forward into the future.

Now drivers will be safe from this serious road hazard!

* For those who are researching this topic, it appears the USPTO had also perhaps made an error in awarding this patent to Myron S. Reed on April 5, 2007 which appears to be a very similar version
which he calls a Truck Terminal De-Ice Snow Screed Plow - Please see USPTO Sketch below;
